Sick Days

Hey guys.

Yeah, as the title says I am at home sick. I am wrapped up on the recliner watching my favorite anime D. Gray-Man, debating on getting a glass of my favorite tea, and wondering what is actually wrong with me. Is it migraine that is upsetting my stomach or is it a stomach ache that is causing a migraine from my lack of sleep? One good thing about being sick is missing class and therefore having free time to write for my story.

I just started to write more for chapter four. It is all about Anderson and Alyssa. Let's see how fun it will be. Also anyone who follows my anime page. I will update sometime today, it'll be a short one though.

Lots of love.

Exciting News!!

Hey, hey! I have some great news about Twin Eyes! I finally have an idea for chapter four! Yep, that means that I am finally over part of my writer's block. I just need to get the words from my head onto paper and I will be golden. It was so hard for me to come up with the idea that I wasn't sure if I would ever be able to finish this story, but I finally got it.

This chapter four is about the Resistance training facility but I didn't want to write the ENTIRE chapter about it. So I decided I would throw in something special. Not going to say what, but it'll be good.

As for the YouTube front that I mentioned earlier, I am working on planning out videos so that I will be prepared. It should be easier now that my homework load is lighter at school. So be expecting a new video update on YouTube within the next couple of weeks about my progress.

Well that is it for now, I will catch you all laters.

Bye!

Mirror vs Eyes

It's that time again. Everyone who has ever gone to school knows it too. Midterms. Yikes. Well good thing I am currently passing my classes...I hope. Just kidding, I am. Anyway, I was thinking the other day (when I should have been studying) about my stories. I couldn't decide which story I wanted to have as my highest priority (after school of course). Twin Eyes is nearly complete I am just stuck at a road block on a few chapters. Ultimate Mirror on the other hand is a new story and with the fact that I want to do a prequel makes it a lot more of a challenge. I am thinking of putting Ultimate Mirror on a hold until I can gather my wits about the story and focus my remaining energy on Twin Eyes.

What got me thinking about this was my video that I put together about my character's songs. Anyone who reads my weekly anime page knows that I am a huge fan of AMV's so I love to make all types of videos. I decided that I would focus solely on the characters until ideas pop in my head. Who knows, maybe I will develop the characters better with this process.

OH!! I forgot to say that I also am designing some cover concepts. Hopefully I will be able to hand draw my cover. It's still in the early stages and I haven't officially drawn my characters before so I want to get an idea of what the characters look like before I draw up the official look.

My idea so far is Alyssa and Nathan Rinehart's faces. I don't know if they are going to be head on, overlapping, or profiles yet, but I will post a picture when I have a rough idea.

As I mentioned earlier, I have an anime page. I will post a new blog post advertising it so to speak. As well as talking about an idea for a sort of 'vlog' about my anime topics. That idea is still on the drawing board until I have more time to write out concepts and plan videos. Might just throw the idea out the window. We shall see.

Have a great weekend everyone.

New Ideas

Hey all.

So I was thinking that Ultimate Mirror will be a sequel. My character development is poor and the reader doesn't get to know the characters like I do. The new story that I am planning will be several years prior about the main characters and how they became friends. It is always important to me that my readers feel the same about my characters as I do and in order for them to do so they need to grow with these characters. I have always wanted to do stuff like this because I have grown up with some of my favorite characters and I want my readers to do the same.

I am always hoping for something great.

In my pocket right now for stories is:
- Ultimate Mirror
- Twin Eyes (almost complete)
- Dark Angel (on hiatus)
- Unnamed Prequel to Ultimate Mirror
- Falling like Wonderland

Let's hope that everyone likes these stories as much as I do.

If you don't want to wait to hear more about my stories, I do have one story out there on Wattpad. I will put the link to my profile up at a later point.

Damn, I feel like I am grasping for straws. Well that is all for now. I will post my anime update this week.

For now. Ciao.

Jumbled Thoughts

Hey guys.

I am suddenly feeling lost. I don't understand why I do, but I just am. My head is filled with thoughts of not belonging. I think I blame this new story idea for these thoughts. It's almost like I don't know where I fit in. At home, at school, at work...I just can't find a place. This isn't just a new thought either. I have been having this reoccurring feeling for years.

My writing, my stories, it is all a big diary entry. My feelings thrown into a different character's life and world. Cresent Moon, Redeemption, Like You, Twin Eyes, Dark Angel, and now even Ultimate Mirror. My heart is uneasy and I create characters who are filled with those same feelings. Laurel, Lindsay, Alyssa, Selene, and Allen. Hell even my fanfics I have written: 23 Days, Nothing Personal, The Other Side of Me...those characters are expressions of what I feel. I just can't seem to shake the feeling.

And now this is turning into a diary entry. Sorry.

On a brighter note....Ultimate Mirror has some very interesting scenes appearing. Let's just say that my mind is a very scary place.

Haha, strange scenes aside. Has anyone read Allegiant yet? Yeah, well neither have I. My friend just borrowed me her copy, so I am going to read it tonight. Let's hope that even with this "controversial ending", the book ends the series wisely. (I am scared to read it though).

I suppose I should get some homework done while I wait for class to start, but I would prefer to write on here than to study about Hamsters and Gerbils.

OH! Wanna see two pictures that I find to be very inspiring for writing Twin Eyes and Ultimate Mirror?

This is a picture that helped me write Twin Eyes, especially the character of Anderson who is a dual-swordsman.

This picture helped me to create two characters from Ultimate Mirror. I won't say which two because I haven't formally written a full chapter yet.

It is always exciting to find inspiration in the little things.

Hope you guys had a good safe Halloween.

Also anime fans. Don't forget to check out my anime page! Bleach fans keep an eye out because I will be posting a theories page for what I think will happen in the last volume or two of the series.

Have a great one you guys.

xoxo,

Letting Out the Steam!

It's that time of year again. The craziness of the fall and winter is beginning once more. While the psychos roam the streets (anywhere really), we need to find a way to release the frustrations of having to deal with such stressful environments. Some people exercise, others shop (though why you would want to shop now is beyond me), some change their looks. As for me, I write. My angriest, and even most depressing, scenes have been written during times of stress and upset. It is when I feel most inspired. It is almost like the characters chatter away in my brain making the feeling of urgency even worse. So I put those frustrations on paper.

My latest scribble fest is a new story idea. It is currently untitled because I haven't hit a point where that 'Ah ha!' has hit me. I don't really know exactly where this story will take me, but it seems like fun for now. (Smile, this is a good thing!)

Now this doesn't mean that Twin Eyes is on the back burner, it is also a current running in my head. (Yeah, it's painful with so many chatty-Cathy's in my head). The reason I started this new story is to get my mind off of Twin Eyes for a bit until I can become inspired to write the remaining chapters that evade me. (I see those little buggers hiding around the corner playing Peek-a-Boo). Unfortunately this means that on top of the stress of being a college student, I also have my brain wrapped around these stories. (School always comes first!) I sometimes find it hard to sleep at night, but such is the life of a writer. Insomnia must be a growing thing amongst writers.

Luckily I have three days off between work and school. Otherwise I would lose my mind...even more so than I already have.

PLUS!!! I am a fangirl of many things. My current obsession is anime, so I follow many currently running stories that help to inspire me. Sadly, this means that I have some form of anxiety (mostly from one story) when it comes to waiting. The two stories I am really into right now are Bleach by Tite Kubo and Naruto by Masashi Kishimoto. Yeah yeah. I know what you're thinking. (Trust me I have heard it all). What is a twenty-one year old doing watching and reading "cartoons"? But to be honest, the different worlds that these Japanese mangaka create is a wonderful escape from the hardships of the real world. I don't really care if I am judged for it, it is something that makes me happy, so why should I fit in with what people want to see me as? Anyway (rambling over), those stories give the right amount of suspense (because I have to wait a week between chapters) that helps me to create a tense environment necessary for my story. (That could just be I want some where to vent).

Whoa...talk about getting off topic. I guess I just needed to talk about the new things in my writing and reading life.

Let me know (to those few readers I have) what else you would like to see on here. I am willing to talk about anything writing and reading related.

Later!

Seeing the Story

It isn't too often I can create my own characters without having to look at actors or other characters for inspiration of exactly what I want. This time however I have tried to rely on my own skills. While there is some inspiration for some characters, I adore the ones I make on my own.

The following drawing is a doodle I did at work today. It is of the main character Alyssa. Around her are Kai's bow, Alyssa's sword, and the resistance symbol.

I know this probably means nothing but I will post shortly in detail some time soon about my characters. Well, not too much detail. That would spoil it.

Till next time.

New Beginning

Hello!

Far too long have I been struggling to find the perfect story to write that pleases me one hundred percent. I think I have found it. (I always smile widely on the inside whenever I think about this story!) I don't know what will come of this new story but I know that I am pleased with it. (You're probably wondering about the story, I'm getting to that). I am struggling writing it, which is a good sign that I want it to be perfect. I think I am going to post it on Wattpad.com at some point, so that means I will need to design a cover for it. This is just an added pressure of being a hobby writer while studying in school. (What am I studying in school? Let me tell you.) I am in college, in my third year, studying as a Veterinary Technician. In simple terms, I'm going to be an animal nurse. (Yeah, it makes me shudder to think of it that way, but technically in the UK it is called a nurse, so I can't fault the term too much). I have like a year to go in my program so this should be my last year. (Crossing my fingers!)

Babbling over, you probably want to know about my story!

The story I am most excited about (the only one I am writing right now) is Twin Eyes. Strange name I know. It is really cool. It is set in a made-up land called Gaerian (which also happens to be the name of the Capitol). There are four surrounding countries with Capitols of their own. It is about magic and fighting and love and loss and death and betrayal and...so much more. This story is probably the darkest story I have ever attempted. Darker than my vampire story (Nightstalkers Trilogy) and much darker than my dragon story (Dragon Wars). I don't know if it is any good (because being the author I automatically am biased and love the story) so I won't know until someone else reads it. The person I want to read it is actually far away right now, so I will have to wait on that.

Damn, I'm rambling again.

Um...let's see, characters. How do I begin? They are each different in special ways. No they aren't weak little people that have no backbone and cower to the villain. These characters are strong, determined, and suffer greatly. I was inspired by so many strong characters when I was creating this that I just hope they don't actually seem like copies of the characters. (Suddenly I am very worried).

My inspiration for these characters comes straight from the things I am most interested in. Harry Potter, Naruto, The Hunger Games, Fullmetal Alchemist, D. Gray-Man, and Eragon to name a few. These are actually my biggest inspiration. If I had never seen a fight on YouTube called Pain vs Naruto, I probably wouldn't have been able to write a scene between the main character and the bad guy. It gave me a good idea of the route I wanted to take when it came to what I wanted as the story draws to a close. Fullmetal Alchemist, Eragon, and The Hunger Games helped me to create a world that is unlike the one we live in but at the same time similar enough that you don't feel completely out of the loop. D. Gray-Man and Harry Potter helped me to create the resistance (if I can ever remember the name I made up for it *author fail*). Every story I have read or watched has helped me to visualize this new world I have created. Then the characters helped me create my very own characters. Naruto Uzumaki - who never gives up, Allen Walker - who struggles with the darkness within in, Katniss Everdeen - who is struggles to understand the world around her while at the same time just struggling to survive, Edward Elric - who knows the darkness of the world around him and fights restlessly to stop it, and several others, but you get my idea.

It isn't just the characters that are easily influenced but also the world itself. There are many parts of my world that are influenced by our own world. An example is my island of Ceria which is based on Japan and China. So obviously the culture and the characteristics of the people are similar as well. The names are clearly made up, but I liked having a reference to draw upon when creating this world.

I guess this is where I can draw my rambling, failed attempt at a blog to a close.

Keeping you posted on my stories will be a priority, if I can find the time between homework.

Ja ne.
